The Breast Unit aims to respond to all the needs of everyone who seeks our Hospital - from prevention, through diagnosis, treatment and follow-up after treatment – consisting of resources and skills to guarantee an integrated clinical management organization, offering an efficient, rigorous and effective service.
Risk assessment and early diagnosis are of particular relevance, crucial in the prevention of cancer and in the timely control of its progression. Breast cancer can be cured in 95% of cases.
The diagnosis and complexity of breast diseases and its treatment, whether benign or malignant, implies not only the involvement of a multidisciplinary team, but also available resources of all auxiliary exams (imaging, pathology, among others) which are all necessary for an early and safe diagnosis and ultimately in the decision of the suitable treatment.
